Da min kone og jeg for nogle måneder siden besluttede os for at købe en ejerlejlighed i København og lade vores datter bruge den i de år, hun skal studere på Københavns Universitet, var det med den bagtanke, at vi måske selv ville bo i lejligheden om nogle år. Vi har et dejligt hus i Holte, men det er temmelig stort, og når vi om få år kun er to tilbage i husstanden, vil det nok føles alt for stort.
Dejlig lejlighed – men der skal males
Vi fandt en god treværelses lejlighed med en beliggenhed, der passer fint til vores datters studium, og da prisen var nogenlunde spiselig, valgte vi at slå til og købe lejligheden. Jeg må dog nok sige, at det med den spiselige pris i nogen grad hænger sammen med, at lejligheden virkede temmelig nedslidt og dårligt vedligeholdt indvendigt.
Men nogle nye køkkenelementer og lidt fornyelse i badeværelset kunne gøre underværker, vurderede jeg, og det kan trods alt gøres for en overkommelig udgift. Men lejligheden skulle også males, og det skulle vise sig at blive det største problem.
Jeg tog kontakt til en maler på Frederiksberg og spurgte, om han ville påtage sig opgaven. Det ville han gerne og bedyrede endda, at den slags opgaver faktisk var hans speciale. Det skulle senere vise sig, at han var noget af det mest sjuskede, man overhovedet kan forestiller sig af en håndværker.
Jeg havde fundet frem til ham, da jeg på nettet søgte efter en maler til opgaven, og på hans hjemmeside stod der netop, at han altid var parat til et godt tilbud på maling af lejlighed, så jeg tænkte, at han nok ikke var voldsomt dyr.
Det var han heller ikke, men arbejdet var også så dårligt udført, at jeg valgte at henvende mig til en advokat, for jeg ville ikke finde mig i så dårligt arbejde. Advokaten mente, at det ville være bedst at finde et malerfirma i København, som kunne give en uvildig vurdering af arbejdets kvalitet, hvorefter han så ville henvende sig til maleren på Frederiksberg i håb om at opnå et forlig. Den slags sager er nemlig ret vanskelige at have at gøre med i retten, fortalte advokaten mig. Heldigvis kom vi i kontakt med firmaet Malerkanonen i København – og de var bare gode!
Så vi fik foretaget en faglig vurdering af det udførte arbejde, og den tilkaldte malermester hos Novaindex.com var ikke et sekund i tvivl om, at der var begået stribevis af fejl, og at det endelig resultat ganske enkelt var uantageligt, som han udtrykte det.
Det endte med, at min maler fra Frederiksberg erkendte, at arbejdet var alt for dårligt udført, og han indvilligede i at nøjes med at få betaling for de anvendte materialer, hvilket jeg gik med til.
Men arbejdet skulle gøres om, og jeg havde bestemt ikke lyst til at overlade det til ham, der havde stået for dårlige malerarbejde, så jeg valgte at finde en anden maler i København til at udføre arbejdet.
Og det var noget helt andet, for lejligheden fremstod ualmindeligt lækker, da han var færdig, og han var endda ikke ret meget dyrere end den pris, der var aftalt med den første maler.
Gulvene blev slebet også
Samtidig fik vi fikset gulvene op. Det eneste, der skulle til, var en gulvafslibning, og den stod Gulvkanonen for. De er specialister i netop gulve og især i gulvafslibning.
